There is enough wood present to warrant commenting on though it’s not enough to endanger the clear expression of the pretty red cherry, raspberry, earth and green tea scents. The lively and beautifully well-delineated medium weight flavors seem to be built on a firm base of minerality before culminating in a moderately austere, focused, intense and lingering finish. This is an interesting wine because while there is good power the overall impression is one of restraint. Note that this should reward mid-term cellaring and indeed it will need a minimum of 5 years and 6 to 10 would almost certainly be better. 90/2020+
