Build a Great War air legend! The Nieuport 17 C.1, described as "the best chase plane of its time," and the aircraft of the legendary pilot Georges Guynemer.

In March 1916, the Nieuport 17 was sent to the front, ultimately ending the era of German Fokker dominance. Over time, this light, agile and fast aircraft became an icon of Allied aviation.

Now it can go straight to your collection!

Nieuport's Success Story 17

In 1916, the French manufacturer Nieuport unveiled a new version of its fighter, the Model 17 C.1, equipped with a 110 hp Le Rhône engine. The aircraft was larger, more powerful, and faster than its predecessor, the Nieuport 11, while retaining excellent maneuverability and climb rates. It quickly became the primary fighter for Allied pilots.

In late 1916 and early 1917, the Nieuport 17 dominated the front lines. However, the rapid development of military technology quickly changed the situation. By mid-1917, the design had been surpassed by the more modern German Albatros D.III fighters, and in Allied squadrons, it was gradually replaced by new French biplanes, such as the Spad S.VII.

The Fighter Ace's Plane!

The COBI model is based on the Nieuport 17, whose markings indicate that it was flown by Georges Guynemer, the second-highest-scoring French fighter ace in World War I with 53 confirmed kills, who died in September 1917.

Interestingly, a replica of this aircraft is located at the Musée de Thiepval in France, where it serves as a memorial to Georges Guynemer.

Now you too can add this legendary aircraft to your collection of construction model kits. All you have to do is build it!

Why add the Nieuport 17 C.1 to your collection:

Authenticity in every detail – The model features a precisely reproduced aircraft shape, realistic paint scheme and a sesquiplan wing arrangement, in which the lower wing is significantly smaller than the upper wing. The model looks impressive, maintaining authentic proportions and details.

The ace's aircraft – The markings and numbers on the model match those on the original aircraft of Georges Guynemer, one of the leading French fighter aces of World War I.

Pilot Figure – This figure, resembling the famous pilot Georges Guynemer, adds a unique touch to your set. The figure is dressed in a replica French uniform and features two interchangeable headgear: a shako and a pilot's cap with goggles. Prepare the pilot for flight, then place him in the plane to set off on an air mission.

Collector's Plaque – This sturdy white brick plaque, featuring the plane's name, scale, and French flag, will be perfect for displaying the model in a collector's display case.

Fun, learning, and passion all rolled into one – By building this model, you'll learn about the history of aviation, the biographies of famous aces and develop your building skills.

Intuitive Instructions – Thanks to the simple and clear instructions, building the set will be easy even for less experienced builders. It's an excellent option for people of all ages who want to explore the secrets of historical model building.

Perfect for both young and old – The set is perfect for younger modelers (9+) and also presents beautifully. A must-have for any mature collector who wants a Great War model in their collection.

Build a model of the Nieuport 17 C.1 fighter, piloted by Georges Guynemer himself, one of the leading French fighter aces of World War I, still known to this day as the "Ace of Aces."

Add this fighter to your collection and relive this history! Enjoy the building process, and once completed, use this legendary aircraft to create dioramas or reenact epic air battles!
