When calibrated properly there is no sacrifice in drive ability, your car will drive just like stock. But to properly calculate SD Based fueling you'll need to move the air intake temperature sensor from you pre-intercooler location to a post-intercooler location. This means moving the temp sensor from the INTAKE to the charge pipe.

Installing this kit does just that, moves the intake air temperature sensor from the factory Mass Air Flow housing to the Upper intercooler upper pipe.

Stock Turbo Cars do not need the 4BAR upgrade. Only cars with upgraded turbos will need a 4BAR sensor in the intake manifold. Installing 4BAR sensors in the charge pipe is NOT required BUT is great for checking bank to bank boost pressures.

If you are thinking of running a Fuel Pressure Sensor (highly recommend) then you might want to skip the 4BAR Charge Pipe option. The most common Fuel Pressure Kit hi-jacks the Charge Pipe Boost Sensor which makes the 4BAR-Charge-Pipe upgrade useless.
