Indian rug brand Hands uses time-honoured techniques to craft its collection of intricately detailed contemporary carpets. The India rug is from the company’s One Love collection, which saw nine designers from nine different countries each create a rug that reimagines familiar elements from their own culture. Padmini Pandey’s design draws on India’s vibrant culture and unique traditions, in particular referencing the holy Ganges River and the divinity of Lord Shiva. Swirling shapes dominated by shades of blue bring a touch of nature to the interior that is accented with brightly coloured details.
