The MCX Virtus has a Tokyo Marui Spec version 2 gearbox with quick change spring system, MOSFET, and high quality, low friction steel bearings. The Sig MCX comes with a high torque motor with neodymium magnets, and was tested with 11.1v Lipo airsoft batteries. It was specifically developed to be a 1:1 replica of its firearm counterpart, and includes a realistic mock bolt with functional bolt stop to access the rotary style hop-up unit.
