Now with Toshiba's DC Hybrid Inverter System, the Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) sets the compressor at maximum power in order to reduce the time to reach the set point temperature. Once the set point is reached, the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) lowers the variable speed of the compressor to precisely maintain room temperature, thereby using less energy.
