Lovely century-old violin from Ernst Kessler of Berlin in very good plasying condition.  Minor repairs over time have includes repair of a top crack, a neck reset, and addition of a sound-post patch. The instrument is currently very solid and ready for immediate service.  It also remains very physically attractive with lovely brownish vintage hue and beautiful flaming on the back and sides and gently scooped f-holes.  If you look, you can also see the maker's alignment posts near the edges of the back - the mark of a good hand-made instrument. Comes with a period vintage case - possibly its original, in good usable condition.
