This is the newest addition to our sword family, a pirate-style cutlass with a solid design and intricate detail. This Cutlass is a reproduction of those used during the high reign of the Pirates. The sword is built sturdy with sturdy knuckle bow and solid steel handle. The blade of the sword is 440 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish, short ricasso and false edge. The sword comes already sharpened with an extremely sharp point.

The sword is almost perfectly balanced with a solid steel guard and full knuckle style guard. The fittings of the sword are very impressive with a detailed skull and cross bones on the scabbard throat

. The sword was made to impress on all levels. A real pirate cutlass will have the hand guard, or "bell" on only one side, The reason for this is so that at night the sword could be fastened more securely to a wall, so all the rocking of the boat would not knock it down, also space was precious but you still want some hand defense. Because of this, these swords will mount quite well on a wall in your home as well!

The Cutlass was a short slashing sword, ideal for the close-quarters battles aboard great sailing ships.
