Traditional bamboo whisk or ‘chasen’ is an essential part of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, used for preparing a smooth and frothy matcha.
Before you use your whisk for the first time, clean the whisk by soaking it in a bowl of hot water for a couple of minutes. Once you are done whisking your matcha, soak the whisk in warm water and do not use soap or your dishwasher. Dry your whisk properly after use.
