In Shetland Norn the word ‘kol’ can refer to a breath of air or a fresh breeze. The
word was often in use on the Westside of Shetland mainland, where Peter now lives and works. It is inspired by his many daily walks around the coastline. His typical ‘walk around the block’ takes about 40 minutes and features moorland, cliffs, small lochs, and a rocky beach.
