As the product name suggests, it is quite a heavy model weighing 2Kg. The sole plate of the electric iron is chromium coated for optimum efficiency. An essential feature of this model is the variable temperature controller function. The DI 999 Electric Dry Iron, in comparison, has a wattage of 1000.
