Here's how Bollinger comments on the 2009 harvest, "Favorable weather conditions allowed the vines to bud mid-April, slightly early compared to the average of the past ten years. Flowering was disrupted by rain and cool temperatures. Early summer was marked by a succession of violent storms that raised concerns of vine health. As of August 1, there was uninterrupted excellent weather until the harvest, which ran from September 12 to 27 with idyllic temperatures. The average potential alcohol for Bollinger reached 10.1° with an acidity of seven grams per liter."
