Indian rug brand Hands uses time-honoured techniques to craft its collection of intricately detailed contemporary carpets. This rug is part of its Urbane II collection, which references modern buildings and infrastructure projects. Veneer is inspired by the CECEP headquarters in Shanghai – an iconic building designed by architect Zaha Hadid that features flowing and interconnecting forms. The carpet mirrors the building’s bold lines, with its pared-back palette echoing the steel and glass façades.
