Original to c.1902, this Edwardian sapphire and diamond five-stone ring is set with three natural blue sapphires, each of which subtly has its own hue and tone, a detail only apparent upon close inspection. The central sapphire is larger than the others and has a stunning Mediterranean blue hue. The two smaller sapphires have a slightly darker midnight tone, the colours compliment each other very nicely.
Tiny rose-cut diamonds are interspersed in between the sapphires and they have a lovely warm, soft glow to them. The stones have been thoughtfully graduated in size, offering a well proportioned and flattering spread across the finger. All gemstones are claw-set in open-back settings, featuring ridged and carved scallop detail which has a lovely decorative effect without being too ornate to distract from the gemstones themselves.
The ring sits nice and low in profile, making it comfortable and practical to wear - this ring would be the perfect engagement ring or perhaps an alternative to an eternity ring, which can be loved and worn everyday!
Excellent: all stones are secure and well set, with no damage to the mount. Professionally polished and carefully inspected by our workshop, ready to wear and enjoy.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
