We offer this top-notch hand-built violin from renowned maker R. J. Storm.  Those in the violin world will know that R. J. Storm was the student and apprentice of the famous restorer Carlos Arcieri and may also know his name because of his regular columns in Fiddler Magazine entitled "Violin Maker's Corner."  For many years, R. J. has been quietly making first quality instruments for well-known players in both the classical and bluegrass worlds. For instance, Jason Carter of the famous Del Mcoury band has been bowing on an R. J. Storm violin for decades.  R. J.'s instruments don't come up for sale very often so we are more than pleased to be able to offer this one.  It was built in 2018 and is labeled No. 175 and sports all of R.J.'s trademark features such as lightly hollowed f-holes, thicker corners and a defined chin which rests just perfectly by the player's hand. This violin was played up and down the east coast by a loving owner for several years and has been recently gone over and set up by R.J. himself.  It expresses a beautifully rich tone with plenty of volume and sustain and good carrying tones, all without harshness - just what you'd want from a great instrument. The violin is in very good, stage-ready condition and will come with a basic transport case for protection. Additional case options are available.
