Fontaine Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Clos Saint Jean Rouge(from Rebichets). This is also moderately reduced though the underlying fruit seems quite fresh. The cool, restrained and nicely delineated medium bodied flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension that carries over to the dusty, youthfully austere and focused finale that is noticeably firmer. Like the straight Chassagne, this too could use better depth though that should reasonably occur if given 5 or so years of cellaring.
