This has always been one of my favourite models, with its lovely accurate steering and smart appearance.

The model came in three colours: cerise, cream and this black, the black seems to have been the least common of the three. This model is often confused with a slightly revised edition, numbered 253, which did not have steering, had a different boot line and an added quarter light.

Many examples have now lost the bonnet emblem but this one is intact. the paintwork does show every little mark in this colour but it has good clean and undamaged windows and nice wheels. There is a spare wheel in the boot too, something that often goes missing!
