Lapidary cut, multi-layered Motor Agate (Fordite) cabochons set in sterling silver. The salvaged and repurposed enamel material set in these pieces began as a hunks of cured paint overspray that were harvested as a byproduct of the industrial auto painting process.

These pieces display 3 beautiful, matched Type 2 Motor Agate cabochons, with repeating color layers, cut from one piece of fordite, in a lovely art deco styled set.

The cabs are cut flat to low domed, revealing the classic woodgrain pattern in this material. The silver settings are open-backed, fancy gallery bezels, and the earrings are hung from locking sterling leverback hooks. An 18" sterling silver round box chain with lobster clasp closure is included.
