The Airbus A300 is a twin-engined, wide-body, long-range cargo / transport airliner with a semi-shell design in a Franco-German low wing design. The drive is provided by two General Electric CF-6-80C2 or Pratt and Whitney PW4000 turbofan engines. The flight of the prototype took place in 1972, and serial production lasted from 1972 to 2007. In 2016, 312 machines out of 561 were still in service. The Airbus A300 was created as the first construction of an international consortium composed of mainly German and French companies. The A300 was built primarily in response to American Airlines' demand for a new long-haul cargo aircraft. However, Air France was the first and one of the largest carriers to use the A300. The transport version, on the other hand, is primarily used by FedEx. Airbus A300, despite the fact that it is considered a very successful machine, took part in 8 disasters.
