Come experience our interesting natural indigo shibori dyeing silk scarf workshop with Fashion Makerspace (42A North Canal Road, #02-00, Singapore 059298)! The traditional fabric resists dyeing technique with thousands-year history is called ‘Shibori’ in Japan, and named ‘绞缬’ in China. The needles are threaded on the fabric with painted guidelines, and the thread is finally tightened to achieve the patterns.
With a rustic charm, vibrant color and exclusive pattern, you will get two natural indigo dyed daily-wear silk scarves (55cm*55cm & 68cm*68cm) after this workshop. You can practice and explore your own unique shibori motifs. Let's make a unique gift for you or your loved ones.

Learners will learn:
(1). Bai ethnic traditional indigo tie dye techniques, like folding, clamping, tying with common objects and stitching skills to create patterns.
(2). An overview of how beautifully indigo is prepared from plant to pigment.
(3). Make two indigo tie dyed daily-wear silk scarves (55cm*55cm & 68cm*68cm).
