Programat EP 5010

The Programat EP 5010 combines cutting-edge technology and modern design into an efficient and user-friendly furnace. It is also optimized for use with Ivoclar Vivadent press ceramic materials, such as IPS e.max Press.

The Programat EP 5010 is a distinguished combination furnace from the latest generation of the Programat series, and it can be used both as a press furnace and a ceramic furnace. This highly innovative, efficient, and user-friendly furnace blends sophisticated design with advanced technology in the best possible way.

The Programat EP 5010 features an integrated thermal imaging camera. Programat Infrared Technology accurately measures the surface temperature of the object being fired or the investment ring. By monitoring the temperature of the preheated investment ring, the preheating furnace and press furnace can be optimally coordinated with each other. If the investment ring is not adequately preheated, an automatic warning will appear on the screen. If the furnace is in firing mode, the camera automatically controls the closing and pre-drying processes. Thus, the integrated infrared technology offers numerous possibilities that enhance user-friendliness, process reliability, and efficiency.

The Programat EP 5010 can be intuitively operated through its large 7-inch color touchscreen display and membrane-covered keypad. In addition to many Ivoclar Vivadent programs specifically coordinated with materials such as IPS e.max Press, the furnace features 500 individual firing programs and 20 individual press programs.

The new QTK2 heating element, along with the SiC base reflector, ensures even heat distribution in the firing chamber. As a result, the investment ring is more uniformly and reliably preheated. Furthermore, these features allow the user to press difficult-to-press objects (for example, those with very thin marginal areas) and achieve higher-quality results.

The electronic press mechanism with force sensor allows for precise control of the press piston down to the micrometer range. The integrated Crack Detection System (CDS) immediately stops the pressing process if a crack occurs in the investment ring, thereby ensuring optimal protection of the restorations.

From software version V4.0, the device includes the FPF (fully automatic press function). With this function, the user simply places the investment ring into the press chamber and presses the start button. The device takes care of the rest automatically. The new FPF technology significantly simplifies the proven pressing process. It also improves the system's reliability and increases the laboratory's productivity. Excellent press results are achieved in a very short time.

The DSA function (Digital Shade Assistant) for digital color determination has been added to the furnace from software version V5.0. The specialized image processing software recognizes the tooth to be analyzed and the three guide samples in the DSA image. The guide sample most suitable for the analyzed tooth is displayed on the tooth, allowing the tooth shade to be immediately identified.
