This stately and rare 1960s Movado “Gentleman” 18ct Gold,ref.2230 Micro-Rotor Cal. 230 is a superb example of that golden era. A signed coin-edged push-pull crown adorns the side, while the slender bezel holds a domed plexiglass above a striking silver linen-textured dial. At 12 o’clock, the applied Movado logo and “Automatic” marking sit proudly above the word “Gentleman” at 6 o’clock.

Inside, the rare Movado (UG) Cal. 230 beats with 25 jewels at 19,800 bph — an ultra-flat micro-rotor movement derived from the Universal Genève Cal. 1-66, the world’s thinnest automatic when released in 1966.
