Will this interfere with my trailer hitch?

The protector mounts to the step itself and doesn't extend into the hitch receiver opening. Confirm clearance during installation if you're running a loaded hitch—the step may contact the back of a heavily loaded trailer.

Do I need to remove the bumper to install this?

No. The protector bolts directly to the factory step mounting points from underneath. You'll need basic hand tools and access to the underside of the bumper step.

Can I repaint the textured finish?

Yes. The textured surface can be scuffed lightly and reprimed if you want a different color. Test a small area first to confirm the texture takes paint evenly.
