This metallic brocade dress dates back to the Sixties, when an up-and-coming Bill Blass was still designing for Maurice Rentner, the decades-old American label he would eventually buy and make his own. Stunning, an early example of his celebrated aesthetic. It's impeccably cut from brocade resplendent in stripes and abstract shapes of yellow, silver, copper, bronze, orange and gold.

The shift silhouette shows off a mandarin collar with three extra large gold buttons each decorated with 15 faux pearls and 10 sparkly crystals. Darts at the bodice beautifully shape the body, the a-line skirt with large inverted double pleats  create volume. The beautiful split sleeves also have matching extra large buttons that finish off the look.
