Rare 1960’s Turkish ottoman cropped velvet vest with applied decorations. Nothing channels the psychedelic sixties like this gorgeous gold braid velvet vest. This vest is of the same style and era as those worn on stage and made famous by Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison in the late 60s. In lush rust red/orange velvet with gold/silver metallic braids and ribbon trim. Exquisite knotted design with heavy embroidery and mirror appliques throughout. A true vintage gem from the 1960s. Featuring four exterior breast pockets, one interior lining pocket, and full lined with dark gray cotton. Approximate modern size women’s small/medium or men’s xsmall/small. In great vintage condition for age, lining in excellent shape, the only thing to note is a couple of the mirror appliques sewn into the design are partially missing and a couple completely missing.
