Does this need any prep before welding?

This is a 2.5" diameter piece. Verify your existing piping or components match 2.5" tubing before ordering. Reducers or adapters are sold separately if you need to step up or down in size.

Can I use this for turbo intake piping?

Yes. Stainless steel handles both exhaust heat and intake temperatures. Make sure your application doesn't require a flange or specific fitting — this is bare tubing with a clean 90-degree bend.
