A Mint Condition Hamilton 'Murph' Still Stickered and Sold with Original Box and Papers, 2022
Hamilton Watches was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and quickly gained recognition for producing accurate railroad timepieces. During World War II, Hamilton shifted to military production, supplying reliable watches to U.S. forces. In the postwar era, the brand became known for innovation, releasing the world’s first electric watch in 1957. Now part of the Swatch Group, Hamilton combines American heritage with Swiss precision, producing distinctive watches that honour its roots in aviation, cinema, and military history.
What's on Offer
Created in tribute to the film Interstellar, the Hamilton ‘Murph’ gets its name from the character Murph Cooper—and this faithful recreation is now a cult classic in its own right.
We are delighted offer this 2022 example in mint (barely worn) condition, featuring a clean 42mm stainless steel case, polished bezel, and a deep black dial with vintage-style Arabic numerals. The cathedral-style hands and printed minute track give the watch a period-correct military field aesthetic, with a subtle cinematic twist: “Eureka” is discreetly printed in Morse code along the seconds hand—an Easter egg for film fans. The transparent case back is a beautiful design detail.
Paired with its original black leather strap, box, and papers, this is a collectible, wearable, and beautifully finished modern classic from Hamilton.
