Beautiful 40s black velvet swing coat with an exquisite novelty print lining of a Venice gondolier and gondola as pictured.

The lining is a mauve/pink color changing satin with the gondolier done in black as pictured.

The fabric is a soft rich medium weight cotton velvet that is worked into a stunning coat with a shawl collar and wrist-length raglan style sleeves.

Deep back yoke and armholes are accented with corded black velvet as pictured.

Left and right side seam pockets.

Open front clutch coat with no zippers or buttons.

Mid to lower calf length. I'm 5'4" and the coat falls to my mid-calf. It may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.

DESIGNER LABEL: Only a 40s National Suit & Coat Recovery Board union label remains.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.

CONDITION: Excellent ~ Presents as Perfect ~ no stains, holes, rips, tears, snags, fading, discoloration, or other issues. The only thing is a very slight storage odor which will come out with dry cleaning.
