Story

John Glenn was the first American to orbit the earth and eventually turned his career from astronaut to US Senator. Our Glenn shirt is a member of a series of dress shirts that hearken back to the Space Race and the era of the iconic American worker. The Glenn comes in our classic American point collar cut a dobby 100% Egyptian 2-ply cotton, in a light blue microcheck pattern.

Fabric

Egyptian cotton is a particular variety that is grown in only a few other places. It is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric.The dobby weave is considered a "fancy" weave because dobby weaves generally have unique geometric patterns in the fabric. This is accomplished using a special loom that raises and lowers the warp threads individually, allowing the weaver to create interesting patterns. Dobby fabrics can come in all kinds of patterns, colors, weights and hand feels.
